Dolphin Fleet Whale Watching Cruises
In 1975 the Dolphin Fleet started whale watching out of Provincetown, Massachusetts with the hope of bringin
g an understanding and awareness to the public about whales and their environment. We ventured out on educational trips with scientists to study whales as well as educate the public about marine mammals and their habitat. The first trips where a great success! Our customers were awed by these magnificent creatures charging out of the depths to capture the small fish that that is their diet. Even more exciting was a whale leaving the water with it’s 40 tons of mass crashing back with an explosion of water in it’s wake. People were eager to go again to see these whales in their natural habitat and learn more about them.
